This was a post I made in Early April,

"Why is it that politicians, in general, have no understanding of economics? Well that is simple we the people elected them. Most of the time candidates will never get asked about economics and so forth but rather the 'hot topics' of the time. The complete neglect of this has become an annoying and increasing occurrence. In California the government issued I.O.U's because no one stopped and pointed out the massive spending being allowed to happen. The U.S. is coming closer to an meltdown yet we continue to borrow trillions and spend it like nothing. We bail failed companies out of bankruptcy even though it is what needs to happen and will eventually happen. I may not be an economics guru but I know you should never spend more than you have nor borrow with no intent to repay with interest. America is no longer the massive powerhouse it was during the industrial revolution but a cancer that has become so large the world will have to cut have to go through many painful treatments to survive. If you feel scared about the future you right to be so as am I. The only at the light at the end of the tunnel is that we will recover, be it many years from now."

Things have not improved much since then. With more companies falling under federal government control or influence, Socialism is now an becoming a frighteningly closer reality. Entitlement has fueled this country for far too long. Our welfare state has done more damage to our society than any economic crisis, virus or foreign attack.
